My name is Lynnette Burr Eadson Williams. On January 28, 1975 at 6:00pm I gave birth to a 6-lbs 12oz beautiful chocolate baby girl whom I named Sharmyra Eugenia Burr. Sharmyra was born at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, LA.

All I could remember is her beautiful eyes and the most precious looking baby I had ever seen. I was only 13 years old and very afraid. I wanted to keep my baby so bad that I had asked my mother to give her to a family member or some of my friends that were much older than I. Some people I knew wanted to raise my baby and me but my mother and father said no, and I didn't have any say in the matter, which of course caused me to loose control, and I was forced to see a psychiatrist.

I want so bad to see my daughter.

I work at Tulane University in the Department of Community Health Sciences Center - TUXCOE (Tulane University Xavier Center of Excellence), 504-588-5100, I did not finish high school, but I did receive my GED going to night school. I am now taking classes at Tulane as an undergrad, with a future in an Associate degree in computers and a Masters in Social Work. I want to work with teenage moms.

I am now 41 years old and married to Pierre James Williams for 4 years and a friend of 28 years. I have three sons: Lionnel J Burr, Sr.-25, George Posey, III- 24, and James Edward Lee, Jr.-21. I have four grandchildren; Akira Rochell Posey-4, Zariah Zenobia Smith-3, Lionnel Jutuan Burr, Jr.-19 months, Lionnel Jutuan Burr, III- 6 months.

I am in constant contact with the adoption agency New Orleans Children's Bureau, Ms. Ada Burson, contact person - 210 Baronne Street, New Orleans, LA 70112 - 504-525-2366. I am in hope that one day Sharmyra will contact Ms. Ada Burson to find me.

There is so much I want to explain to her, and if she never wants to see me, I will always and still LOVE her with all my heart and soul to my very last breath, and I know I can say the same for her siblings.

Waiting with HOPE,
Lynnette Burr Eadson Williams
